The Inspection Process

As home inspectors, our primary responsibility is to assist the homebuyer in reducing their risk. There are no perfect homes, even new ones.In the metro-Atlanta area, we find a wide variety of building defects. Our job is to discover the defect, and then to effectively communicate to the buyer the significance of that issue.

We are responsible for reporting on functional defects. These could be structural, electrical, plumbing, waterproofing, site drainage or heating, ventilating and air conditioning related. We do not report on cosmetic issues.

We follow the industry-accepted inspection protocols established by the American Society of Home Inspectors, Inc. (ASHI) and by the Georgia Association of Home Inspectors, Inc. (GAHI).The GAHI standards are the highest in the United States.

Our goal is to accomplish the best possible inspection, utilizing visual and non-destructive techniques. We spend more time during the actual inspection than most home inspectors, and we are convinced that we provide a better service.

For most individuals, the purchase of their home is the largest single financial transaction that they will encounter during their lifetime. We can help you make a more informed decision. For many of our clients, we save thousands of dollars in repair costs. We look forward to assisting you on your next home purchase.

With your permission, we can also send e-mail messages to your real estate professional, the seller, or the seller’s real estate agent.

Additionally, our firm will also mail a hard copy report to you on the day after the inspection. We utilize USPS Priority Mail service. In most instances, this results in a next-day delivery for most metro-Atlanta areas.

Other over-night delivery services are available at an additional cost. You must make these arrangements at the time of the booking.
